Tim Edwards BVSC MRCVS joined the practice in 1977. He has a broad range of experience with both farm and small animals and is responsible for most of the Tuberculosis testing carried out from the practice. Tim has an interest in orthopaedics and most of the fractures treated in the practice will be handled by him.

Stephen Glas B Vet Med MRCVS has been at the practice since 1986. Steve has routine small animal appointments each week but is mostly involved with the farm work as the routine vet for dairy farms in the Langport area.

Partner

Julian Cosser BVSc GP Cert (FAP) MRCVS joined us in 2005. He has a major interest in farm animals and horses, as well as experience with camelids. Julian is involved in small animal work and has regular appointment times each week.

Maggie Franklin BVSc MRCVS has been a popular Small Animal vet here since 1995. She works part-time and has routine operating and appointment times. Maggie has an interest in soft tissue surgery and dermatology.

Jenny Winslade MA Vet MB MRCVS works part-time as a Small Animal Vet with routine operating and appointment times. Jenny has an interest in orthopaedic surgery and ophthalmic cases and has been with the practice since 2006. Jenny is on maternity leave at present since the birth of her twin boys in December.

David Crosse BVSc MRCVS joined the practice in 2010 and has a major interest in Small Animal Medical cases. Dave is also part of the Farm Animal provision attending routine cases.

The out of hours rota is shared between: Tim, Steve , Julian, and Dave and are supported by our nursing staff.


Practice Manager and Nursing Staff

All nursing staff within the practice are trained to a high standard and can help with advice and recommendations for you and your pet.Nurses work in the practice as anaesthetists, caring for hospitalised patients and running nursing clinics as well as many other tasks supporting the vets.

Jo has been here since 2005 and is responsible for the smooth running of the practice. Jo has experience working in many practices both in this country and abroad, with both Small animals, Farm animals and horses and is a senior examiner for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Veterinary Nursing exams.

Head Veterinary Nurse

Tracey Phillips RVN is our Head Nurse, responsible for co-ordinating the nursing team. Tracey started at the practice in 2008 after training in a local veterinary hospital and has been responsible for the development of the weight clinic provision in the practice. Tracey is on maternity leave after the birth of her son.

Mary-Anne has been at the practice since1996 qualifying as a veterinary nurse with us. Mary-Anne is responsible for Insurance claims and stock control as well as running her highly successful nursing clinics including , dental, flea and travel.

Emma has been employed here since 2005 and qualified as a veterinary nurse with us. Emma is responsible for running the surgical side of the practice as well as running puppy and kitten clinics for us.

Amy has been in the practice since 2009 and is now in her second year training as a veterinary nurse in partnership with Bicton College in Devon. Amy started at the practice as a Saturday girl and has worked her way up.

Hannah is a student veterinary nurse at Hartpury College Shropshire and is with us on years work placement to cover Traceys maternity leave. Hannah is a familiar face at the practice as she has completed all her work experience placements with us.
